Assemblages
In my assemblage’s series, I enjoy bringing new life
to metal that has been discarded and that I feel have
some intuitive connection. I investigate their scars and
strive to make them a little more organic by intuitively
joining these elements to create larger, more spon-
taneous pieces. I sometimes cut, forge, and fabricate
these elements in ways that often temporally disguise
their origin. Ultimately, they are employed to create
tension, balance, compromise, and even one object’s
domination over another. They rebel against the banality of our modern culture and demand more time for exploration and discovery.
This series pays tribute to our Industrial Revolution that altered our culture forever.
